It has been a few days since my last post...yes.

I just got back from a GREAT business planning session for 2010 and am sufficiently inspired.  I have written a personal 90 day action plan for myself and will be interested to see where it goes.

I have realized that I have been lacking in the VISION department.  How many of us operate under a "vision" of some sort?  It is VISION that activities can be weighed against.  It is VISION that encourages others to grab hold of a worthy cause.

What is your business vision?  What is your personal or Life Vision?  Does it include others around you?  Can it be thought of as ALREADY existing...once we overcome some of the apparent gaps between current reality and where the vision "is"?  How do we maintain its existence?

I have been thinking about these things.

It is interesting to realize that people search for their entire lives to be a part of something.  Connection is not a fad or a craze...it is a deep seeded desire that comes from a very basic NEED to assimilate.  All particles in the universe are in search of purpose, meaning and connection.  Connection makes us feel vibrant, passionate, at peace and otherwise engaged and ALIVE.

VISION unites people to a cause but can also provide motivation when there is none and aid in decision making  among other benefits

Elements of a compelling vision:
  1. Sense of a worthy Cause to associate with.
  2. Sense of a worthy adversary or challenge to overcome (sense of present situation VS. the "vision"...or sense of GAPs)
  3. Sense of Strategy to employ. (Bridge to the future "vision"...and the actions that line up with that.)
  4. Sense of positive outcome.  A win for the cause is a win for each individual engaged.
Are there any more that I missed?  Each of the four points can be examined and added to...and each one is just as important as the others.  Good luck with your personal sense of VISION.

Here is some market news:

FNMA 4.5% continues to rally!  We are trading at just under $102.00 for this one and WOW rates are historically very low in the UNDER 5% range again.  PLEASE don't lose your opportunity to share this with someone today.  Don't hesitate to give me a call to see if I can help.

Weak manufacturing numbers and people pulling money back out of their mattresses AS WELL AS a weak dollar are keeping money into our markets.  (Bernanke's commentary helped today as well.)

Weak dollar?  YES...even though this usually spells inflation we have indicators suggesting that the dollar is WEAK NEXT TO OTHER CURRENCIES...which is a different kind of weakness than if things were just "more expensive to produce"  When the dollar is weak next to other currencies: it encourages "foreign investment" which props up the market.  Why?  Think Dollar vs. Euro...if I had one Euro...I could buy 1.50 worth of US investments today.  When other currencies remain strong vs. the dollar they tend to use the dollar as an investment vehicle.  Currency exchange can be a HUGE part of the calculation of RISK and PROFIT when a person is investing.  Also due to weakness in the dollar AND apparent fear of inflation: GOLD is at $1039/oz...yikes.

Cheers!
